Pastors 3

One of the things that is troubling is when the Pastoral staff implements secular ideas even though they have divine commands already guiding those areas they use secular thought. One example of this is the introduction of Political Correctness in the church. The Pastor already has scripture governing the treatment of others, they do not need the aid of the unchurched world.

Another example is the introduction of female pastors. The secular world demands more and more businesses to install female leadership. Again Pastors, churches and denominations have divine commands telling them who can or cannot lead the church. Those biblical instructions get ignored in favor of pleasing the secular world. This is not correct nor is it of God.. God expects his followers to obey him over secular culture. God’s rules were not written for them to be ignored or swept aside in favor of secular ideas and rules.

Another troubling area is how some pastors and churches ignore government rules on church construction and other legitimate oversight by the government. These Pastors claim that government agencies do not have jurisdiction over the church’s construction or other actions. Governments do have the right and jurisdiction over certain church activities. They get to enforce building codes and other pertinent laws like parking requirements and traffic control guidelines.

These rules do not interfere with biblical instruction. This means that they cannot be ignored by the Pastoral staff. We see the example of Abraham, who did certain actions following secular cultural rules– buying a field, finding a wife for Issac and so on. Those rules did not interfere with God’s instructions to Abraham and Abraham did ignore secular rules when they conflicted with or contradicted God’s instructions.

This is the key. Pastors and other believers need to learn when the right time and the right secular rules can be ignored. God gives governments some leeway in governing and the same freedom of choice that he gave all people. Governments are free to choose which path they will follow– God’s or their own. Pastors and other Christians need to exercise real discernment, not blind obedience to secular rules and actions. They have to make sure that the government’s actions are in line with God’s word or if those rules are leading people to sin.

The Pastors then need to instruct their people on the right course of action and prepare them for the government’s response.

Pastors 2

The Bible speaks constantly about learning, teaching others, and studying and many pastors do that but sometimes they stop at only reading their own denominational material. Unfortunately that is not enough.

To teach your people each week you must be educated in more areas than your denominational ideology. You need to know about science, history, geography and many other subjects in order to understand and apply the Bible better. You do not have to be experts in each field of study nor do you ave to know more than some of the basics, but what you have to do is follow the Holy Spirit so you can get to the truth of an issue and not be led astray by unbelievers who sound like they know what they are talking about.

For example, for science the best way to protect yourselves and your congregations is against evolutionary thinking to have a good starting point. That beginning is simply: fallible, sinful men and women do not know more than God does about what he did in the beginning. You cannot say that the biblical authors got our origins wrong for they got their information from God himself.

Another example would be archaeology. a good starting point there to help guide you in your study of God’s word is that archaeology is limited and only looks at maybe 2-5% of the total information from the past. archaeologists do not have any secret information nor any smoking gun that contradicts the Bible or proves it untrue. They know very little about the past and what they do know they often distort and alter in order to paint a picture they want the past to look like. They do not present a picture to show how the past actually was.

These examples should help you in knowing what you need to know from fields of study other than theology. For theology, and other subjects, you need to make sure you are following the Holy Spirit to the truth because Jesus taught that. he did not teach anyone to go for the interpretation they want or the best explanation.

Do a word study on the words ‘truth’ and ‘interpretation’ and see what God actually teaches about both topics. To lead your people correctly you need to know the information first. You need to first ask God the tough questions and get his answers before facing the questions from your church members.

Education is not limited to theology or evangelism for not every person studies theology and you need to be prepared to answer their questions and you can’t answer them if you do not know God’s answers first. I remember having a friend many years ago, who was a youth pastor at the time, continually say ‘I don’t know’ to his young charges. That is not good nor is it being a good pastor. You need to know so you can train your people correctly and help protect them from the attacks of evil.

You need to educate correctly so the people can defend their faith without problems or stumbling in their faith.

Pastors

There is an old saying in the church– ‘as the Pastor goes so goes the church’

This means pastors that if you want your people to be holy, then you must show the way and be holy yourself. If you want your people to be fair, just and merciful, then you need to learn from God how he defines those words and then apply those definitions to your own life first. If you want your people to be truthful then you must teach them the truth.

Servant leadership is a bit misleading as Pastors while they are servants, they are also the servants of God and must do what he wants first. When the pastor learns what God wants them to know they in turn lead the people to the right way to go. Being called to be a steward of one of God’s congregations does not mean that the pastor lets other people do the leading. He must lead, he must discipline correctly, rebuke when necessary, praise when it is called for and foremost he must follow the Holy Spirit to the truth so his charges can receive the truth and know what is expected of them.

The pastor must lead his people away from false teaching, not embrace it and lead them to sin.The pastor cannot call false teachers Christian for that would be bringing confusion into the church. The pastor must be the one who leads his people correctly, as God wants, there is no one else appointed to do that job for that congregation.

3 Words

–Racism, sexism & change. When it comes to the first two words, racism and sexism, Christians cannot jump on one or the other side of the argument. They must jump to God’s side and brig the truth to the issue. They must cast light on the problem showing the rest of the world what is really at the heart of the issue.

#1. Racism—  the believer must point out, and accept, the fact that there are not different races in the world. There is only one and no matter what color of skin everyone is a member of that one race. That race of humans all came from Adam and Eve.  No matter what scientists say about Cro-magnon man, Neanderthals and any other proto-human, those creatures did not exist and are distortions of ancient skeletal remains. Darwin got it wrong as do all evolutionists.

#2. sexism-– There are no winners in this issue. If a person favors men then they are accused of being sexist towards women. Both sexism and racism are terms thrown about loosely in attempts to bully those who disagree with those who misapply such terms. But the argument of sexism cuts both ways. Once you favor women over men then you are being sexist towards men. As we said, you cannot win in this issue if you play the sexist card.

The truth of this issue can be seen in the qualifications of both genders but men are biblically charged with taking care of their families. The verse ‘if a man doe snot provide for his family he is worse than an infidel’ (paraphrase) plays a role in this charge to the male gender. of course there are other verses like, ‘if a man shall not work neither shall he eat’. Women d not receive such divine instructions for they are not the head of the family. They are men’s helpmeets, fulfilling roles and duties to aid the man not replace him.

Being a helpmeet does not mean a woman cannot work. it just means that they are not the primary employable person of the family unit. If a company hires a man over a woman, they are not being sexist but helping the man fulfill his biblical responsibilities. The secular world does not want God’s ways in either the race or sexist issues thus they distort both in order to achieve their own selfish adjectives. They need true Christians to provide not only the light but wise counsel as well as knowledgeable insight to guide the unbeliever, and the believer, in what s the right thing to do

#3. Change— This word is often used by evolutionists to describe their false theory of life development. They claim that change is evolution. But there is a danger that comes with being so ambiguous. By using such a broad term the evolutionist has effectively removed the standard of right and wrong from all scientific work. This move also undermines ethical standards as well as the application of the term implies that all change is good.

The true believer knows that idea is not so and they also know that such terminology indicates that any change in life forms is okay and nothing is found to be in error. No one can be corrected for their work because there is no standard of the right and wrong way of doing things. Change has taken place thus it must be studied and accepted. Nothing is wrong and nothing has to be corrected.

Change is declared as an evolutionary advance but with no standard measurement guiding the experiments or the scientists, how can they determine if that change was the correct one and in line with evolutionary thought? How does the scientist know he is on the right track with nothing to guide him or her?

What the ambiguous application of the word ‘change’ does is leave the theory of evolution flexible enough so that it can be altered at an evolutionist’s convenience when part of their theory is shown to be unworkable. We have had evolutionists tell us that the theory of evolution is not the same as the one Darwin imagined when he constructed his version of the theory. if this is so, how can anyone trust what any evolutionary scientist declares? He is not working within the framework of Darwin’s theory but some altered version that has no standard telling the modern evolutionist if they got it correct or not.

Each evolutionist is working with their own version of the theory of evolution not a truth. That means that any modern idea of evolution is purely subjective and has no hope of being verified at any time. They can’t be because there is no model of how evolution works to guide the evolutionist. There is no standard of right and wrong either informing the evolutionist when they have made an error in their calculations or thinking. anything and everything becomes ‘evidence’ for the theory but all that means is that evolutionists will distort ‘change’ in a move of desperation as they try to support their fictional ideas on life development.

Predictions cannot do it as those are not 100% accurate and are a tool of pseudo-science not real science.Predictions do not come with a standard of right and wrong informing the evolutionist that they are mistaken, all they have is a failed experiment for it did not produce the predicted result. This failure does not motivate the evolutionist to throw out their theory; instead they just keep making predictions, like they are doing a multiple choice quiz and keep picking a letter till they get the question right. Predictions do nothing but reinforce wrong ideas.

Change is not a good determiner when trying to figure out a theory that has no hope of being verified. All change does is lead people down the wrong paths to look in the wrong places for the wrong answers. Change is not evolutionary. All change tells us is that something is not the same and that alteration may not be correct.Life forms are placed in grave danger because evolutionist misunderstand them and misapply their results.

Change is not always good nor is it scientific. It could mean that someone violated the process and committed a great wrong. We need the standard of right and wrong to guide us to the right answers not so someone can ‘do science’. Right and wrong provide us great help in determining if we are on the right track and evolution i snot the right track for there is nothing that verifies it, no matter how loud the evolutionist howls.

This Is A Good Article

http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory/israeli-warehouse-clues-jesus-life-death-46240622

In a cavernous warehouse where Israel stores its archaeological treasures, an ancient burial box is inscribed with the name of Jesus.

Not THAT Jesus. Archaeologists in Israel say Jesus was a common name in the Holy Land 2,000 years ago, and that they have found about 30 ancient burial boxes inscribed with it.

Ahead of Easter, Israel’s antiquities authority opened up its vast storeroom to reporters on Sunday for a peek at unearthed artifacts from the time of Jesus. Experts say they have yet to find direct archaeological evidence of Jesus Christ, but in recent years have found a wealth of material that helps fill out historians’ understanding of how Jesus may have lived and died.

“There’s good news,” said Gideon Avni, head of the archaeological division of the Israel Antiquities Authority. “Today we can reconstruct very accurately many, many aspects of the daily life of the time of Christ.”

Israel is one of the most excavated places on the planet. Some 300 digs take place each year, including about 50 foreign expeditions from as far away as the United States and Japan, the Antiquities Authority said.

About 40,000 artifacts are dug up in Israel each year. A third of all the antiquities found attest to the ancient Christian presence in the Holy Land, Avni said. Historians now know how long it took to travel between cities and villages where Jesus preached, and what those places looked like at the time.

we will let you read the rest for yourselves.

Women Pastors

http://www.christianpost.com/news/barna-study-reveals-what-americans-think-of-women-pastors-177400/

A newly released report by Barna Group reveals that evangelicals in the United States find it more difficult to embrace the presence of female leadership in the Christian ministry than other Protestants and Catholics do.

We know why this is so. Jobs like President, CEO, CFO, pilot, police officer and other employment options do not have the one thing that accompanies the position of pastor or church leader. Women are allowed to do those jobs BECAUSE those positions do not come with an inspired divine command prohibiting women from filling those vacancies. The positions of pastor and church leader do have that inspired divine command and women and other church people need to take note of that directive and simply obey it.

You can point to all the NT passages of scripture you want to about how women were part of Jesus’ company, exercising their spiritual gifts and so on BUT you will not find one example of any of those women disobeying God’s command concerning leadership of the church. You do not find Jesus teaching anywhere anything that is contrary to Paul’s instructions in Timothy and Titus concerning those positions. If people want to say that Paul’s words are not Jesus’ words, think again as John 17: 8 says otherwise and we quote:

for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.(NASB)

The rest of the NT outside of the gospel and the first chapter of Acts are ALSO Jesus’ words. They are not the apostles’ own thinking or ideas.Paul did not teach contrary to Jesus for he carried or was given Jesus’ words to teach God’s followers.

“There is a long history among evangelicals of emphasizing motherhood and family as a woman’s primary calling,” says Roxanne Stone, editor in chief at Barna Group, in the report. “While the broader culture, and much of the Christian church, has shifted away from this, evangelicals seem more reluctant to do so. This reluctance is often tied to a scriptural reading that insists men are to occupy primary leadership positions within the family and church and, by extension, society.”

While motherhood and family are great responsibilities, those duties do not prohibit a woman working outside of the home. That decision is between the husband and wife alone, no one else.Being a helpmeet allows for the woman to be engaged in some form of employment if her husband agrees.

Stone noted that more than half of most congregations are women. And many of them are in the workforce. The Department of Labor shows that in 2015, women made up 47 percent of the labor force, up from 27 percent in 1948.

This means absolutely nothing and is not part of God’s criteria qualifying people to lead the church. God’s rules do not depend upon who is attending a particular congregation.

Since most practicing Christians, apart from evangelicals, would be comfortable with a woman in the pulpit, many attend churches where they do not agree with or understand the theological stance against women in leadership, Stone continued. “This is likely to become more of an issue for churches as women continue to gain equality in other spheres. We have already seen more churches shifting to allow women in senior leadership, and the number of female senior pastors has grown considerably in the last few decades.

It is NOT about equality but about women obeying God.God does not reward disobedience.

People may disagree with what we have written but we are going to side with God on this and any issue. We listen to God not man. What good is it to have a Bible written by God if no one follows it? How can anyone expect unbelievers to obey God’s word when believers do not? Those are two questions for you to think upon and here is a third, why would anyone accept Christ as their Lord and savior when believers ignore him and his instructions?

Believers need to follow God and his ways not secular culture and its way. Secular culture is in need of a savior and is not the savior to the church. God has pointed out that his followers are to be the light unto a dark world. He did not say let the dark world be a light unto his church.Ignoring God’ word only presents a far different message to the unbelieving world than the church thinks. If you want to win souls then obey God’s word.
