That is an interesting term. It says enough but not too much about something personal that happens in a person’s life. So-called celebrities use this term or something similar to protect their privacy.
We are using it since we do not post personal information on the internet. We will be gone for a couple of weeks while we recuperate. But to hold the fort for a bit here is one final post.
#1. Don’t preach politics- if you want the country to change, preach salvation, preach sound doctrine, and preach the truth. Before you do that go to your prayer closets and pray for your nation.
Unfortunately, this advice does not work for those Christians who vote Democrat or Liberal, etc. You cannot be Christian and a Democrat. If you are you won’t be preaching true salvation, you won’t be preaching the truth and you will be supporting sin Asking God to implement sin is wrong.
#2. We were at the BG website the other day and we read a big whining article about his need for opiates to control his pain. However, he was whining about the rules that govern the usage of opiates and he did not like them.
As usual, he wanted people to break the rules for him and other opiate medication needing pain sufferers. However, he knew the rules and he should not whine. it is life. Governments have a moral responsibility to regulate medications so they are not abused.
He does not like that either but the government is supposed to exist to protect people from themselves among other things. We had a guy like this in Korea. He fought hard tp [pass a law that all NETs had to have a clean criminal record history in order to teach in the country.
We fought against him but his side won. The next thing we read in the Korea Times is an article about his whining that his criminal record, as slight as it was, should be given a pass even though his advocacy led to many people losing their jobs.
He whined about having a family to feed, etc., yet he could no longer teach. He only has himself to blame as he is one of those people, like BG who think their personal circumstances allow them to violate the rules. While everyone else has to follow them.
#3. This is going to be a longer section as it comes from the MM website and his topic is how great science is over any alternative for our origins. No matter how often you tell these people the truth, they just keep singing the same tired old song that has been proven false for centuries.
. It is almost invariably those who are devoutly religious, to the point of regarding their holy texts as literal truth, will reject any and all evidence that contradicts them, and to them, observations of the cosmos fall into the category of lies.
The blog post is called Science and Lies yet the only people doing the lying are unbelievers about our origins. Science is not going for the truth or facts. They are going for the best explanation. The best explanation rarely includes the truth.
How can you trust a field of research when it does not tell you the truth? What evidence does MM refer to? Is he referring to the many theories and hypotheses that try to explain what happened in the past, even though science cannot see into the past?
Scientists cannot produce any evidence that contradicts the Biblical record. What they claim contradicts the biblical record is merely their personal unbelieving opinion. Not historical fact. Scientists cannot replicate one claim they make with their so-called evidence.
In fact, they cannot even reproduce any evidence or process to prove their point. They just say ‘ We are scientists and we know, so take our word for it.’ That would not be a smart move to make. Science is based on physical evidence yet scientists cannot produce one shred of physical evidence to support their views.
When people first pointed telescopes at the sky, they did so with no pre-conceived ideas of what they might find
This is just not true. Science investigation is guided by research questions. Those research questions are not objective. We sat through one genetic lecture years ago and the research question was ‘if evolution were true, such and such would take place.’
Scientists do not go blindly into research and look for the truth. They are looking to prove their theories. MM is trying to make secular scientists out to be saints and searchers for the truth when the exact opposite is true.
I find the denial of science, especially when it’s obvious, to be offensive. Decry science all you want. Claim it to be a hot-bed of heathens and God-deniers, but if you do all of that, are you prepared to give up all the tools that science has yielded us? Are you going to give up your car?
This argument is a logical fallacy and has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Technology is not in the business of investigating our origins. Science is and if scientific tools bring people to the wrong information then yes, they need to be discarded. we can still enjoy the advances technology has brought us without worry.
We do not accept the lies of science because another research field brings us good inventions. But that is what MM wants people to do. He wants them to give up the truth and accept what blind, deceived sinful. scientists offer and that is ridiculous.
The stupidity of the argument exposes the deception to all Christians and helps them avoid falling victim to it.
MM’s defense of science is ludicrous as it ignores right and wrong, and thinks that people working without God can come to the truth. They can’t. All secular scientists are doing is robbing people of the truth and deceiving them.
