The Bible IS What It Claims To Be

If it wasn’t, the world would be lost and no one would have any hope. Anarchy would be the rule of law and the survival of the fittest would influence just about every action possible. There would be no morals, no laws and everyone would do what is right in their own eyes.

When people dismiss the Bible, they do this even though the Bible is what it claims to be, They consider themselves greater than God and think they can do things better than him. So far, they have all failed.

The crime rate is a prime example of their failure. Their best solution, so far, has been to take action that lets a few liberals, progressives, and democrats gain control over everyone else. They dictate to the people what words can be said, what actions can be done, and they need to be stopped before it is too late.

Unbelievers have nothing to offer anyone, yet they feel superior to everyone through their condemnation of the Bible and their claims that it is not what it claims to be. They mock believers for believing the following things about the Bible:

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God
The Bible is THE book above all other books
Every word in the Bible is true
The Bible is NEVER wrong
Doubting the Bible’s truthfulness is sin
The words attributed to Jesus in the gospels were actually spoken by him
The Bible presents a blueprint, manual, guideline for living

Some atheists call these characteristics presuppositions but that is an erroneous labeling. Christians believe these things about the Bible because they are true. The Bible is never wrong and it is the only blueprint, manual etc., for living and so on.

Unbelievers have not created anything better. They cannot write a book that has every word true like the Bible has done. You will notice that not one unbeliever can prove one word false.

Evangelicals are encouraged to read, study, and memorize the Bible.

Yes, they are and we would go one step further and advise Christians to understand what they read and learn how to apply biblical verses correctly to their lives and conversations. There is more to the Christian faith than reading and memorizing scripture.

They need to identify the truth of what is being said and accept it. Sadly, many parents put their sinful kids above God and side with their sinful ideology over the truth of the Bible. We have seen it happen.

Living the Christian life means putting God first and above all, including one’s family. But that does not mean ignoring your family members’ needs. You just do this in a biblical way that brings glory to God.

Most Evangelicals fail to question or challenge the presuppositions their proof-texts are based upon.

This is a common complaint made by unbelievers. They think that Christians only do proof-texting when quoting the Bible. They do not understand that some verses are stand-alone passages that deal with a given situation perfectly.

Then they will call the Christian’s beliefs pre-suppositions ignoring the fact that the Christian has already questioned and studied the different passages of the Bible and know that they are true. Just because the unbeliever does not accept the truthfulness of the Bible does NOT make it untrue.

Those kinds of statements only prove that the unbeliever doe snot credit any education the Christian has gone through. They just dismiss that educational work because it disagrees with their ideology.

If you take a deep look at secular educational systems and content, you would see how lacking they are. The students are not taught to go for the truth, they are taught to do academic freedom no matter where it leads.

They are also brainwashed with different ideologies with recent changes to educational content in recent years as a prime example of this. Those people would not know the truth and really do not have any insight into the Bible a believer does not already have.

I have been accused of being a Bart Ehrman fanboy. Maybe I am, or maybe, just maybe, his books are the single best way to disabuse Evangelicals of their beliefs about the Bible. If I can get an Evangelical to honestly and openly read several of Dr. Ehrman’s books, I know that it is likely that their sincerely-held beliefs about the Bible will crumble and crash to the ground.

Bart Ehrman would not know the truth about the Bible either. He does not publish the truth and he has been refuted countless times by reputable Christian scholars like Craig A Evans, Daniel Wallace, and other Christian scholars.

The only time a Christian’s beliefs would crash to the ground and crumble after reading Ehrman would be if the believer was not following God’s word correctly. (That would apply significantly to the person we are quoting from.).

Why would any Christian think that unbelieving biblical scholars would know more about the Bible than Christians and true Christian bible scholars? The former have no access to the truth and no holy guide to lead them to it.

Reading Ehrman should only be done if you have God helping you and you are doing it to find where you can refute his claims. The same goes for most unbelieving authors. When you read him and others, you need to keep your eyes on Jesus so you do not fall.

The Bible is not what Evangelicals claim it is. Educated Evangelical preachers know this, yet on Sundays they play make-believe, leading congregants to think that the Bible is the very words of God/Jesus. These preachers know this is a lie, but their identity and economic wellbeing are tied up in perpetuating this untruth Sunday after Sunday.

The problem here is, how would the unbeliever know this? As we have stated in many similar articles, the unbeliever only denies the truthfulness of the Bible and does not present one shred of verifiable physical evidence proving their denials true.

They will point you to Ehrman and other atheist writers but those writers do not present that same class of evidence. We know this because we have read Ehrman, Harris, Dawkins, and other unbelievers.

The only thing they have to offer is the subjective and unsubstantiated denials. The only thing Ehrman disagrees with about Jesus is his divinity. Ehrman has said that a historical Jesus lived at the time the real Jesus lived. But like other atheists, he cannot prove that the Biblical Jesus did not live here on earth at that time.

They can’t because ancient secular writers have mentioned the biblical Jesus in their histories. Plus, they have no method or physical evidence proving the Biblical Jesus was not divine.

While there are fake Christian preachers, their existence does not prove the Bible false. Actually, their existence proves the Bible true because the Bible warns of these fakes and that they will exist.

Every Christian knows that the Bible is the word of God. As Jesus said, if it were not so I would have told you. if you read the words in that immediately above quote, the earlier question we asked, How would the unbeliever know this? comes to mind.

What proof do they offer to make their denial and claim true? There is none in that article and none n the books written by countless unbelievers on this topic. The writer of those words should be sued for libel and defamation.

He is telling false tales about Christians and Christian preachers. He is smearing their reputations and their integrity among other illegal acts. He has the freedom to make his denials but he does not have the freedom to libel those he does not like and make fake claims about them.

I am aware of the fact that my apostasy has troubled some people. If Bruce can walk away from the faith…how can any of us stand?

He thinks more of himself than he really was. Christians can stand because they rely on Jesus and the Holy Spirit to hold them up. Jesus never promised that the Christian life would be easy and many do turn away from the faith. They just made the same mistakes as that person did.

We have read many of his ‘stories’ about his life. We spotted many places where if we had known him prior to his deconversion we could have helped him withstand the deception and finish his Christian race. But he would have to be open to instruction to accomplish that.

The key to running the Christian race successfully is to one, stop listening to unbelievers. Two, check the spiritual stance of the people you are talking to or reading. If they do not hold to true biblical teaching stop listening to them. Three, keep your eyes on Jesus at all times.

Fourth, put God above everything in your life. The verse ‘seek ye first the kingdom of God…’ applies to every aspect of life including children and spouses. God is first always. Finally, always remember the Bible is true and what it claims to be.

You have nowhere else to go if you dismiss the Bible.
