Of course, it can! Plus, it can do it without creating a theocracy. One can be a Christian and run a country in its present democratic or republic format. There are many benefits to having true Christians run governments.
By true Christians, we mean those that correctly follow Christ. You will notice that while the Bible does not exclude Christians from being politicians, it does not encourage creating a theocracy either.
The biblical principles and instructions both God and Jesus want us to follow provide a way to solve many of the problems the world or individual nations face. Just look at the Book of Proverbs, we are instructed to get both wisdom and understanding.
These are two attributes that are needed when dealing with both domestic and foreign affairs. They also help in selecting qualified people to fill key government positions as well as judicial offices.
With the latter, we get more fairness and justice than the current occupants of those offices provide currently. Then with government offices filled with wise and understanding people, government works better and meets the needs of the people they are governing in a very fair and incorrupt manner.
Laws are obeyed and enforced when they are not obeyed, thus the crime rate should go down. But those are only the tip of the iceberg of what biblical people can do in government when given an honest chance.
That does not mean canceling student loan debt, letting in illegal immigrants to steal from the real citizens of the country, or seeing false ideologies brainwash and indoctrinate students.
Real teaching can take place as teachers will be given solid guidelines to follow. Plus, teachers would have the authority to punish students properly in a fair and just manner. Zero tolerance would be removed and mercy would be allowed to help rehabilitate student offenders.
Having Christian politicians removes the lies that are told on an hourly basis by secular politicians. People could trust the government as well as law enforcement again as police are trained to not shoot wildly or make up excuses to justify their actions.
In fear of one’s life would only be used when it was the correct situation to use it in. You would see a different attitude in the nation as well. People would have hope and faith again as well as re-learn how to raise children with the right discipline.
It may even be safe for them to walk the street again without fear of being killed, kidnapped, or sexually assaulted. Also, romantic relationships would be carried out in a more responsible and caring way for all involved including unwanted babies.
These are just some of the benefits of having Christians govern a nation. Following God’s principles, commands, and instructions, is a win-win for everyone involved. Plus, it can be done without forcing anyone to follow the Christian faith.
But will this happen in the near future? Highly unlikely as the world is on a downward spiral to destruction because they decided to go their own way and follow their own understanding. The secular people in government, no matter the nation, have made nations worse, not better.
If Christians want their land healed, they better honestly go into their prayer closets and humbly pray for the healing of the nation. That is the only way any nation can avoid being destroyed.
Of course, evil, perversion, sin would be the only victims in this type of nation. But you cannot avoid destruction if they are not the victims of a healthy nation. We are not saying the people here just the behaviors and attitudes would be gone.
Sounds like paradise and that is what you get when you follow Christ’s ways. This may not take place here on earth but it will happen in heaven. Except that those who did not choose to accept Christ as their savior will never see this utopian life.
It is only for those who took that step of faith and accepted Christ as their savior and did what he told everyone to do.
