There Was Only One: Where to Look

We have been taking isolated passages out of the book, The Grand Canyon: Monument to an Ancient Earth, to show our readers how wrong those authors, and people like them, are. The next passage comes from pgs. 207-08:

Herein lies the difference between science and flood geology- science goes where the data leads, flood geology does not.By deciding in advance what the answer to the question will be, flood geology does not study nature to discover what processes have been at work or what events have transpired (or for that matter what God really did).

The problem with the line ‘science goes where the data leads, is not true. Science has already pre-determined that natural methodologies created the things in the world. It has drawn a pre-conclusion and now work to prove that conclusion true.

Science is not objective as true objectivity would not rule out the supernatural merely because one cannot study it. That act is again drawing a pre-conclusion by ignoring data that says their methodologies cannot work and are wrong.

They eliminate a very good possibility for the answer to the questions about our origins. Scientists are not being objective but making sure they get the answers they want to hear. Also, science only goes for the best explanation, not the truth. So they are not truly following the data but their own ideas of what the data should be.

Then the statement, ‘flood geology does not study nature to discover what processes have been at work’ is also a misleading statement. It is also an erroneous one. There is nothing in this world from any real authority that states that the questions of our origin are found in nature.

Nor is there any instruction from any authority to study nature to find the creative processes and mechanisms. Nature does not exhibit any processes, except for the ones that develop plants that have them reproducing after their kind.

Rocks, comets, water, plants, and animals do not record any processes at work. Those that say they do are making it all up and placing their own concepts of those processes into nature. The secular scientist says that rocks were developed in this manner, yet they have not proven that claim true.

There is not one claim made by secular scientists about their processes that they have been able to verify. Nor have they been able to show these processes in action not only in the present but historically.

Their claims are not based on real scientific experiments that replicate those processes in action. They are based merely on their own declarations. Nature does not exhibit one process in action. It is all wishful thinking on the part of the secular scientist.

We can say that because the definition of sedimentary rock fits a flood more than it does anything else:

Common sedimentary rocks include sandstone, limestone, and shale. These rocks often start as sediments carried in rivers and deposited in lakes and oceans. When buried, the sediments lose water and become cemented to form rock. Tuffaceous sandstones contain volcanic ash. (source)

National Geographic has this to say:

Erosion and weathering include the effects of wind and rain, which slowly break down large rocks into smaller ones. Erosion and weathering transform boulders and even mountains into sediments, such as sand or mud. Dissolution is a form of weathering—chemical weathering. With this process, water that is slightly acidic slowly wears away stone. These three processes create the raw materials for new, sedimentary rocks.(source)

The first link goes on to talk about how this material is compacted. That process again points to Noah’s flood as the water was over the earth for a long period of time:

24 The water prevailed upon the earth for 150 days.(Gen. 8)

As the account records, it took time for the water to disappear. As you know water is very heavy.

One gallon weighs roughly 8.3 pounds. The precise weight of water varies according to its level of density, which in turn depends on its storage temperature.(source)

The flood waters most likely had more than enough weight to create sedimentary rock. The particles needed came at the beginning of the flood with the rains, the fountains of the deep, and the open windows of heaven.

The truth follows the data and the data includes scripture as there is information there that eliminates other sources from creating what God created. Science does not follow the data, it avoids it by restricting what can be eligible to produce life, rocks, and so on.

Another passage is also found on page 208:

The message of flood geologyis that what is observed in nature today cannot be used to inform us of what may have happened in the past…

That is the message of the Bible as well. There is nothing observed in nature that can inform anyone of what took place in the past. Everything the ancient earth supporters say comes from nature is read into it by them.

They do not want to do what God said and have faith. Instead, they want to go their own way and have inanimate objects speak about the past. That is information those inanimate objects have no concept of nor know about.

It has to be read into nature as nature only follows what God designed them to do. Nature cannot say anything about the past. It is as vulnerable as archaeological discoveries. Subject to what unbelievers want to say instead of what they do say.

What nature tells everyone is that the 1st chapter of Genesis is correct and all things that can reproduce do so according to the boundaries God set at that time (after their kind). Nature does not speak about processes that develop life as even the so-called evolutionary experiments cannot alter what God has done in the beginning.

The fruit fly experiments make that painfully clear to evolutionists, both secular and ‘religious’. After many experiments, the scientists still got fruit flies. Some looked weird but they were still fruit flies.(source)

Nature only talks about creation as it took place in Genesis 1. That is the data the unbelieving scientists do not follow.
