#1. We are going to get in trouble again
At least by those atheists and agnostics that do not like to see true justice and mercy in action. They like to accuse us of defending sex crime offenders but we do not defend them all. We never defended the Duggar boy. This time they will accuse of defending a murderer
California’s governor blocked parole for Charles Manson follower Patricia Krenwinkel on Friday, more than five decades after she scrawled “Helter Skelter” on a wall using the blood of one of the Manson family victims.
Gov. Gavin Newsom said Krenwinkel, 74, is still too much of a public safety risk to be freed.
“Ms. Krenwinkel fully accepted Mr. Manson’s racist, apocalyptical ideologies,” Newsom said. “Ms. Krenwinkel was not only a victim of Mr. Manson’s abuse. She was also a significant contributor to the violence and tragedy that became the Manson Family’s legacy.”
A two-member parole panel for the first time in May recommended that Krenwinkel be released after she had been denied parole 14 times. Newsom has rejected parole recommendations for other followers of Manson, who died in prison in 2017.
Krenwinkel became the state’s longest-serving female inmate when fellow Manson follower Susan Atkins died of cancer in prison in 2009. Her attorney, Keith Wattley, said he understands Krenwinkel is the longest-serving woman in the U.S.
She and other followers of the cult leader terrorized the state in the late 1960s, committing crimes that Newsom said “were among the most fear-inducing in California’s history.”
We know the case well as we were alive at the time it was committed. I believe this woman is the last of the group that was tried and convicted and then sent to prison. All the rest, including Charles Manson, has died in prison.
But we think Mr. Newsom made a mistake here. The lady has served her time and was recommended for parole by two experts, and in our view, she deserves some mercy. We are not defending her and granting mercy to someone is not supporting their criminal acts, behavior, or attitudes. It is showing mercy to those who warrant it and can benefit from it.
The Bible tells us to love mercy so we need to apply it whenever it is expedient to do so. God does not put limits on who can or cannot receive mercy and we should be a little more generous with dispensing it.
Newsom agreed that Krenwinkel has been well-behaved in prison, that she has completed many rehabilitation and education programs and that she has “demonstrated effusive remorse.” But he concluded that “her efforts have not sufficiently reduced her risk for future dangerousness.”
This is a dumb thing to say as anyone who is not a believer in Christ has a future in dangerous activities. We once argued against bringing in police reports in South Korea. That government felt it necessary for native English teachers to submit these reports to work in the ocuntry.
The problem was that those reports are not a guarantee that those same teachers would not commit any crimes during their tenure in the country. Many did commit crimes after submitting their police reports. It was a false sense of security.
To say that Krenwinkel can commit future dangerous acts is ludicrous as she is 74 years old and has completed everything that was required of her. All Newsome is saying is that no matter what good a prisoner does, that effort is meaningless.
His action motivates more criminal activity than letting a 74 year old out of prison for a crime committed 60 years ago approx. We do not like the statements in that article made by relatives of those victims.
They show a lack of forgiveness as well as a lot of hatred for Ms. Krenwinkel. Both are sinful acts that disqualify them from standing in judgment of this woman. Mercy is for everyone despite what other people think. It is just that not everyone will repent of their actions when they receive it.
We need to be merciful as God is merciful to everyone.
#2. Atheists can never be reasoned with
While atheists claim to be the champions of reason, rational thought, and logical thinking. However, when you go to their websites you will find them to be the exact opposite especially when Christianity or people they do not like are discussed.
There is no point in trying to reason with atheists as they will ‘interpret’ everything you say and twist it to fit the way they want the content to sound. We get a lot of this at BG’s website as he ‘responds’ to our articles here with a lot of false accusations and comments designed to make him feel like a victim.
He is not a victim of anything. He just wants the attention. He is unreasonable as he chastises us for making a spelling error and then draws a conclusion that we know nothing about Gandhi. He is wrong of course, but he doesn’t care. As long as he unreasonably puts us or our website in a bad light, he is happy.
His treatment of Christian content is very unreasonable:
If Jesus is calling, his flip phone must not be working. I have not received one call from the Big Kahuna. Thiessen says he is a Christian. Fine. What in his behavior commends Jesus to unbelievers? I see nothing in the life of Thiessen that is remotely attractive. He is a hateful man, a liar. He repeatedly attacks people he disagrees with. If he is a Christian, why would I want to be one?
He draws this unreasonable conclusion based on what we have written. We have not lied, or been hateful but because his mind is so twisted with sin and deception, he only sees what he wants to see. That is not being honest or reasonable.
His conclusions come from the fact that we do not agree with him or his acceptance of sinners and sinful behavior. Our articles have constantly pointed out that paradise would not be paradise if unrepentant sinners were allowed in.
Yet he ignores that fact and calls us hateful because we won’t contaminant paradise. The last line is unreasonable as well as dishonest as we have explained time and again, we analyze content and do not attack anyone.
But the atheist always twists everything into an attack and cannot discuss anything rationally nor will they accept any viewpoint other than their own. As one of the people on his website commented, BG has no story to tell anyone.
Yet he has to say it in every article he writes. Why do we bring this up, because he won’t listen to reason. He keeps repeating it to reinforce in his mind that everyone else is wrong and did him wrong. Yet, he takes no responsibility for ruining his wife’s faith.
No wonder her relatives did not like him. He ruined their daughter, granddaughter, cousin, niece and on it goes. But he won’t accept the truth and apologize to them. He just writes more negative stories about them without giving them a chance to say their side of the story. He is not the only atheist who does this.
We feel sorry for BG as he threw everything away and then blames everyone else for his decision.
Do you know what pisses Thiessen off? I don’t need his God; his Jesus; his Bible; or his religion. He cannot wrap his mind around someone not being like him.
Doesn’t bother us in the least except to bring up feelings of sadness that BG had it all and then left it all for nothing. The above quote is obviously a lie as we have never said that and it is something that BG has made up on his own. Even after telling him the opposite.
We have accepted his claim that he was a true Christian and then walked away but that doesn’t help us feel any better. Atheists are unreasonable as they cannot be honest about what Christians say and feel. Or even what they believe.
#3. Agnostics are the same
MM does not like it when we use the initials for his website but the ironic thing is, he does the exact same thing to others.
To quote SoM, via a comment he left
If you are going to complain about initials being used and make a mountain out of a mole hill, then one should not use initials for people they do not like. It is hypocrisy to the core and no justification will get MM out of this predictament. But he will try.
We have had many discussions over the years with MM but we never found him reasonable either. We have caught him in distortion after distortion, etc., and he always finds a way to twist things to justify his dishonest discussions.
He won’t admit to it and we have a comment here that says the exact same thing. What makes MM unreasonable is that he only wants common ground under his terms. He will not accept anyone’s else position unless they include content that he approves of.
Of course, the believer cannot accept MM’s conditions or content for they are disobedient to God. His and other agnostic unreasonable behavior is found in how they treat others and distort what took place
injected himself into the discussions I was having with SoM. He dredged up a conversation from ages ago. The only one who is harping on is him.
He forgets that he sent this question to us a long time before he posed it to SofM. We also gave him the same answer and even BG records this timeline. What is unreasonable is that he refuses to accept the right answer.
We have given him the only answer that is possible and he still won’t accept it.
I’m not worried in God killing me. I’m more concerned that fringe lunatics like SoM might hear voices in their head, and then act upon it.
If anyone is being told to kill someone, and we have read about many mothers making this claim when they have killed their children, Then it is not God they are listening to and the so-called fanatic is not a Christian. He is a psychopath.
God has nothing to do with that command or behavior. But agnostics need someone to blame so they blame God and Christianity. Then we asked our question #2 the other day MM’s response is:
I do not consider myself bad, or sinful. I do not subscribe to the notion of sin.
We do not care if he subscribes to the notion of sin or not. That statement shows that he is being unreasonable about the reality of this life. He also shows that he is deceived and in denial.
Sin exists whether he accepts it or not and as the Bible says, he is a bad person in need of a savior. But he is being unreasonable in his arguments as he trashes other people’s beliefs simply because he disagrees with them.
He also likes to blame others like BG does. He can’t take responsibility for his mistakes or actions. He also likes accusing others for things they have not done:
You should consider it good that I do not take your version of Christianity seriously. If I did, I would consider all Christians to be hypocritical, hateful zealots. You often say you speak the truth with love, yet you understand neither love nor truth.
This is from a person who refuses to use our proper name. As if he has the right to decide what we are to be called. That is more unreasonable behavior. he will fight to have Christians and others call transgender, non-binary persons, etc., by their preferred pronouns, etc. yet he will not do it for a Christian.
I can and will criticise Christians who behave like fundamentalist lunatics. I will criticise those who unreasonably try to trash my character, and the character of my friends
The only person being unreasonable is MM as he claims to have a right that he refuses to grant those who disagree with him. If he does not like his content critiqued and analyzed, then maybe he should not put it out in the public sphere.
He also makes false accusations in that quote solidifying his hatred for God, and Christians. The only reason he calls people fundamental lunatics is because his preferred lifestyles and ideologies are not accepted or included in God’s kingdom or faith.
Such name-calling shows him to be very unreasonable as he doe snot allow Christians to have their beliefs while he jealously protects his own beliefs and ideologies. He is also unreasonable when it comes to God’s actions as many agnostics are. They always point to certain biblical passages that they think expose God to being worse than evil.
If that is grounds to slaughter people (and the God of the Old Testament brutally killed people for less),
MM and agnostics, along with atheists never accept the truth about God’s actions. They have made up their minds and have kept them closed to the truth so they have justification for their decision to reject Christ and attack his followers.
That is being unreasonable when you will not even listen to the truth but find ways to criticize God and falsely accuse him of sinning. If they won’t accept the truth and keep harping on the same old thing year after year then that is a sign of being unreasonable.
Another sign is MM’s, BG’s, and others continued use of false accusations of lying against those they do not like. We have not lied about their content or their persons. But in the reminds accepting the truth means they have to rethink their positions and conclusions/
It is easier to accuse people falsely than re-examine their positions on different topics. Or accept the truth. So if you want a better life as a Christian, learn to use mercy correctly and avoid discussing anything religious with unreasonable people.
It is casting pearls before swine.
