Is Evolution A Religion?

20 Feb

Ham told The Christian Post last week that “God’s Word” is at battle with evolution, which he described as a religion to explain the origin of the universe.

We do not believe that evolution is a religion and that Mr. Ham is wrong in describing it as such. Evolution takes a lot of faith but then so does driving a car or flying in an airplane, does the faith used in those areas of life make driving or flying a religion? Of course not. We find evolution to be part of the strong delusion that God promised to send in 2nd Thess. It is a scientific theory that has no hope of being verified in any way shape or form. This means that it is a false idea, a lie meant to deceive people and draw them away from the truth found in Genesis 1 & 2 as written in the Bible. God spoke and it was. There was no process or more than 7 24 hour days involved.

Ham has accused evolution-supporting secular personalities, like Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy,’ of trying to indoctrinate children by teaching them about evolution — something which Nye has also accused Ham of doing with Creationism.

This is true. Evolutionists do try to indoctrinate children. If evolution were true they would not need a monopoly on the science classroom. Demanding a monopoly means they are indoctrinating not educating.

Today the world still evolves. Continually we can see an evolution in things. A Christian can not ignore such things and such evolution is not at all against Biblical teaching.

that depends upon how you use and define the term ‘evolution’ The breeding of animals to produce different species is not evolution in action but God’s genetic material at work.

Evolution does not exist in any form.

Evolution/development/adaptation/evolvement/natural selection are processes of gradual change that takes place over many generations, during which species of animals, plants, or insects slowly change some of their physical characteristics. such evolution dis not equal with Darwinism, or the theory of evolution where the Darwinian theory is stating that all species of organisms have developed from other species, primarily through natural selection, and ignores the Biblical account that man would be created by the Most High Elohim.

The biggest fault of many people, certainly of creationists, is that they expect man to have looked like present human beings, forgetting that the original man did not at all looked like us now and even moved in a total different way than we are moving now.

Often with such fundamental Christians we also find the ignorance that Jesus was not a Caucasian but being a Palestine was dark skinned. they mostly are refusing to accept Jesus as a dark-skinned man because they have a a high sense of dignity for the white race, and in a way are often racist.

As creatures of God we may not forget that God has a Plan with all His creation and that there is also a time set by god in which man has to evolve. As such we may not ignore the cumulative inherited change in a population of organisms through time leading to the appearance of new forms: the process by which new species or populations of living things develop from preexisting forms through successive generations.

Evolution is a process of continuous branching and diversification from common trunks. This pattern of irreversible separation gives life’s history its basic directionality. — Stephen Jay Gould>; also : the scientific theory explaining the appearance of new species and varieties through the action of various biological mechanisms (such as natural selection, genetic mutation or drift, and hybridization)

If you prefer we could call the real evolution or the historical development of a biological group (such as a race or species) also perhaps phylogeny or the evolutionary development and history of a species or trait of a species or of a higher taxonomic grouping of organisms and the sequence of events involved in the evolution of a species, genus, etc..

Evolution can clearly be seen by all species, be it man, animal or plant by the evolutionary history of that group, esp. as depicted in a family tree. Just have a look at your parents, yourself, your kids and grand kids and see the difference already for only such a short period of time.

you have said nothing that no one already knows. What you do not grasp s that there is no such thing as evolution in any form, even micro.

Jesus wasn’t a Palestinian, he was a Hebrew, an Israelite.

He belonged to the Essenes and was born form the tribe of king David, was born in Bethlehem and came to live in Nazareth = Palestine

Saying Jesus was not a Palestine is the same as saying Jesus was not a Nazarene, or was not one from Bethlehem (or born in Bethlehem) or like many probably said they came from Egypt, after they returned to live in Nazareth.

By the way Jesus was a Jew, an Israelite or like you say a Hebrew, but his native language was Aramaic, so he was also an Aramaic or Aramaan.

No, evolution is not a religion. What an inane claim. There is no concept of transcendence in science—and a recognition of transcendence is essential to the definition we use in the study of religion.

“The breeding of animals to produce different species is not evolution….”

Of course it is! Any change in allele frequencies in a population over time is evolution, whether you happen to like it or not.

Indeed, even an uninformed non-scientist like Ken Ham recognizes at least some types of evolution. He even promotes a bizarre hyper-speed macro-evolution following the flood—when he says that all cat species evolved from the Ark cats in a period of just 200 years.

If you don’t like the Theory of Evolution, fine. But don’t bear false witness and bring more shame upon Christ-followers. Christians who lie about science (and even misrepresent terms and basic concepts) create unnecessary obstacles and stumbling blocks to the Great Commission. Lying has become a virtual hallmark of Young Earth Creationism and anti-evolution nuts.

sadly for you and Mr. Ham, that is not evolution in action.evolution has never existed.

****If you don’t like the Theory of Evolution, fine. But don’t bear false witness and bring more shame upon Christ-followers****

I am not the one bearing false witness nor bringing shame to Christ’s followers. Can’t do either when I tell the truth and stick to the truth.

****Christians who lie about science (and even misrepresent terms and basic concepts) create unnecessary obstacles and stumbling blocks to the Great Commission. Lying has become a virtual hallmark of Young Earth Creationism and anti-evolution nuts.****

The term ‘lying’ is thrown around too easily by those who reject Genesis 1. I can tell you that there has not been one real scientific evolutionary experiment in the history of science. That is not lying nor misrepresenting, it is comparing evolutionists with the king who wore no clothes.

We are exposing their fantasy for what it is–a fantasy.

You would be wrong on that assumption about the Essenes.

“By the way Jesus was a Jew, an Israelite or like you say a Hebrew, but his native language was Aramaic, so he was also an Aramaic or Aramaan.”

sorry to burst your bubble here but his native tongue was not Aramaic. Scholars and archaeologists have made a grave mistake when they talk about the lingua franca of the time and how it is used.
