Oh, and by the by, if you really want to read THE BIBLE, learn Hebrew and Greek.  Otherwise you aren’t really reading the Bible anyway.

How so? The manuscripts we have in Greek and Hebrew are mere copies so how does West know we are actually reading the Bible when we read it in the original languages?  I guess all the people who have had the bible translated into their own languages are not really reading the bible then. Sorry West but you are in grave error here and very unrealistic.

The popular Christian conservative real estate team the Benham brothers say that Donald Trump “can not make America great again” and advise Christians and conservatives not to put their “faith, hope and trust” in the thrice-married Republican nominee.

Who are these Benham Brothers? And it is a rhetorical question for we know about them. Sadly for them having a t.v. show canceled because they disagree with homosexuality does not make them prophets or God’s spokesmen. They had 4 articles in the Christian Post today and not one of them provided any scriptural support for their points of view.

The Christian world seems to be desperate for new godly spokesmen and they will use anyone remotely close to being godly. It is a shame on the church for these promotions of unqualified people and yes they are unqualified to speak on these biblical themes.

This is a link to a 2nd article of the 4 and sorry but they are only speaking the obvious and misusing scripture. Justice has been turned back for decades if not centuries as different forms of governments seek to keep themselves in power. You need a large grain of salt to listen to these two men.

After the NCAA announced on Monday that it pulled seven championship events scheduled for this year and next from North Carolina over its opposition to the state’s bathroom law that requires transgender individuals to use restrooms and changing areas designated for their birth sex, residents Jason and David Benham spoke with The Christian Post over the phone to give their response to that decision

We are not talking about the Benham Brothers here but the NCAA decision. Our comments in the post The Stupidity of it All apply here as this is again just stupid as well as demonstrating that the NCAA is a bully and against freedom for all. Sorry but the NCAA is wrong, as is the NBA, and Christians should be informing those organizations about how right and wrong trumps civil rights, not vice versa.

The American Family Association is praising Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for urging Target to re-examine its controversial transgender bathroom policies after a second man was caught recording women undressing in changing rooms.

“After this latest incident, I hope Target finally recognizes the importance of protecting its customers, especially in environments where they can be at their most vulnerable. I am offering them the resources of my office to help assist them in improving their safety procedures,” Paxton said in a message to Target last Friday.

We agree. Target should change their policy. Everyone but the homosexual community and its supporters knew this was going to happen.

When you support sin do not be surprised or traumatized when sin happens.

This translation (ESV)turns women and men into contrarians by divine design. The fall means women are to submit to men and men are to rule women, but women will resist the rule. This has moved from subordinationism to female resistance to subordinationism.

We stand by our decision to limit our use of translations to the KJV, NASB, NIV 1984 and the NKJV.

The ESV here is mistaken in over translating Genesis 3:16 and the mistake is the assumption emerges from the belief that this is prescription and not description. As description it needs some nuancing; as prescription it turns the male against the female, the wife against the husband, and it means the male partner will rule by God’s design.

Exegesis can settle this, and if this exegesis is right, the ESV must at least consider an immediate change in its translation. When I first heard this my first response was, “Why would the ESV do this? Why would they alter this verse in this way and then say it is Permanent?” The “Whys” crop up because of this sort of discussion

Too much culture has influenced bible translation over the years and we do not like that. Translations should be reflecting the truth and bring the true words of God not the ideas and preferences of a few men and women.

“Stromatolites” may sound like something your doctor would diagnose, but they’re actually biological rocks formed by colonies of microbes that live in shallow water. If you visit the Bahamas today, you can see living stromatolites.

What’s so special about them? Well, they appear in rocks most scientists date to 220 million years older than the oldest fossils, which pushes the supposed date for the origin of life back to 3.7 billion years ago.

This, admits the New York Times, “complicate[s] the story of evolution of early life from chemicals … .” No kidding! According to conventional geology, these microbe colonies existed on the heels of a period when Earth was undergoing heavy asteroid bombardment, making it virtually uninhabitable. This early date, adds The Times, “leaves comparatively little time for evolution to have occurred … .”

It is an interesting read and given the reputation of the author more thought has to go into this. Evolution cannot explain anything, even its own ideas, so this discovery is nothing new.

Dr. Stephen Meyer explains in his book “Signature in the Cell” why this may be Darwinism’s Achilles heel. In order to begin evolution by natural selection, you need a self-replicating unit. But the cell and its DNA blueprint are too complicated by far to have arisen through chance chemical reactions. The odds of even a single protein forming by accident are astronomical.

Since evolutionists cannot find the original cell nor demonstrate how it replicated, they have no theory and no alternative to Genesis 1.
