Quotes On Science 4

#1.Science books are letters from God, telling how He runs His universe.

Toyohiko Kagawa

Not necessarily. if those science books do not contain the truth, the real truth, and the real correct answers to everyone’s questions then they are not from God but from evil. Those books, if different from described in the last sentence, are filled with nothing but nonsense and useless information except to see how some people think and how far they are from the truth.

#2.What is needed in the present plight of mankind is not more science but a change of heart that shall move mankind to devote to constructive and peaceful purposes . . .

Ralph Barton Perry, The Humanity of Man

In today’s world, secular science is being seen as the go to authority and the final word on everything. Even fast food restaurants tout their scientifically cooked fries yet we must ask how is science a better cook than real cooks? Science is not an authority on everything, it is not qualified to speak on everything as it does not have the training in each of the fields it passes judgment

As for peace, science cannot be a participant for it manufactures and improves on the very weaponry that destroys peace. Science needs a change of heart as well and that change needs to involve God’s humbleness and contriteness or the change of heart will not work.

#3. Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.

-Albert Einstein, Out of My Later Years

The first half is true but the second half i snot. Religion, Christianity only, sees more than science does as it is the light unto the dark world. Science is not the light unto Religion or more specifically Christianity. Jesus did not give the truth to science alone nor did he give it a mandate to be the ultimate authority on truth, historical events and faith.

Christianity must shine its light upon science or science is just another group of blind people leading the blind.

#4.Anybody who has been seriously engaged in scientific work of any kind realizes that over the entrance to the gates of the temple of science are written the words: Ye must have faith. It is a quality which the scientist cannot dispense with.

-Max Planck, Where is Science Going?

This is the key. You can do nothing without some sort of faith in the work you do. Whether they admit it or not, secular scientists rely heavily upon faith as they make their assumptions and predictions. if they didn’t have faith then they would not be looking for the fulfillment of those predictions.

The Christian does not go to science and get faith, they get that from God as they rely upon the Holy Spirit to lead them to the truth, even in their scientific ventures. If the believer does not present the truth then their work is in vain and they have not furthered the cause of Christ but may have caused themselves or others to stumble in their faith.

The truth is vital to the believer, nothing else matters and this truth is not of existential qualities but the truth that Jesus said we would know. The believer cannot be the light unto the world, including the scientific world, if he or she dispenses with that truth and opts for some alternative solution. The believer will not get to that truth if they follow the blind and deceived secular scientist to different conclusions.

If the believer does not get to that truth and they are following the blind and deceived secular world then they are not in obedience to God or his word. There is no justification around that fact.
