Why Darwin Day?

12 Feb

We are not supporters of evolution nor do we think that Darwin deserves his own day. The theory of evolution is not enough to warrant a special honor like this. Since the theory is nothing but a lie there is nothing to honor. Even if you look at the following video, you will see that there is nothing to that theory

The narrator kept saying this was evidence for evolution but when you stop listening to his rhetoric, all you saw was nothing. There was no evidence supporting the evolutionary theory. Blow holes do not prove an evolutionary process. They do prove a different gestation development but it is not a source for evolutionary transition. Different locations of snouts also do not prove transition but then what do you expect from evolutionists when they taint their observation with a predetermined date that favors their theory?

One of the things that bothers me when evolutionists look at fossils. All they see is a perfect specimen for their theory. They do not take into account the corruption or disease that could affect the development of the animal bone structure. Everything is a transition or evolution in action and that is distorting the facts to fit the theory.

Then we have the following:

Ironically, nowadays, when people loudly insist on reading Genesis 1 literally, they don’t really read it literally!

Genesis 1 literally sketches an ancient worldview that looks bizzarre today.

The only thing about our origins that is bizarre is the evolutionary theory. How does ‘and God said,… and it was good…’ look bizarre? It is a passage of scripture that brings peace to one’s mind as it reveals so much about God and his actions.

If you wanted to insist that Genesis is literally true, you’d have to go way further than the Creation Museum. You’d have to defend the idea that we all live under this giant, crystal dome! You’d have to explain the blue of the sky as evidence of that huge body of water over our heads!

I do not think that is a problem since declaring we all came from a one-celled animal that somehow possessed all the genetic information needed to develop over billions of species of plants and animal life is far more weird and embarrassing.

We certainly do not need a special day for the founder of such an unprovable and embarrassing idea.

But there is still more:

International Darwin Day will inspire people throughout the globe to reflect and act on the principles of intellectual bravery, perpetual curiosity, scientific thinking, and hunger for truth as embodied in Charles Darwin. It will be a day of celebration, activism, and international cooperation for the advancement of science, education, and human well-being.

Local and state governments will close in commemoration of the Day, and organizations and businesses will celebrate by engaging in community outreach centered around science as a tool for the betterment of humanity.

Darwin Day will be observed by the United Nations and its members as an opportunity for international partnerships through the common language of science for the common good of all.

It just sounds like an excuse to take another day off work and do nothing. There really is nothing to celebrate as Darwin did nothing for civilization or society. Proposing a theory is not heroic nor did it fend off an invading nation, or stand in the face of danger protecting others so it is laughable to think that Darwin should get a special day of honor.

His theory is a lie and all people are doing here is celebrating that they have been deceived.

February 12 marks Darwin Day, when humanists around the globe celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, the pioneer of the modern form of the theory of evolution by means of natural selection, in 1809 in Shrewsbury. While evolution was not an original idea with Darwin (the ancient Greeks believed in a form of evolution and even Darwin’s grandfather had formulated his own view of naturalistic evolution), Darwin is widely regarded as the key populariser of ‘molecules-to-man’ evolution. November 22 marks the anniversary of the publication of his book, The Origin, in 1859.

Various events are conducted on Darwin Day around the world. They have included dinner parties with special recipes for primordial soup, protests with school boards, workshops, and literature distribution by people in ape costumes. Darwin’s birthplace, Shrewsbury, began a ‘Darwin Festival’ in 2003 which now lasts the full month of February.

So they are celebrating how to do science badly, how to assume, use pseudo-scientific methods to promote one’s theory, how to use circular reasoning to confuse opponents and on it goes. Prediction is nothing but pseudo-science and comes from fortune-telling not actual science.Avoiding the truth and making up fanciful theories is not real science but an act of those who do not want the real answers to our origins.

Evolution is an escape from reality, an avoidance theory not a true scientific pursuit. It is teaching people how to conjure up one’s own ideas when they do not want to face the truth and receive answers.

We could go on with our negative words but then we would only be preaching to the choir. Those who adopt evolution as a real source for our origins rarely return to the truth but create strawman arguments, like the dome or an imaginary body of water over our heads. The key to the origin debate is that if you claim to be like Christ, if you claim to follow Christ and his teachings then you need to stick with Genesis or you are not doing any of those things.

Neither God nor Jesus represented that they used evolution to create all things, that an evolutionary process actually exists NOR did Jesus correct Moses when he was here on earth and he had over 30 years to do it. Some may argue that Jesus did correct Moses but those words were edited out but fanatical people. If this is so, where are those corrections? Why hasn’t any ancient manuscript or fragment that has been found reveal those different words?

That argument doesn’t hold up as all the ancient manuscripts discovered support God and Genesis 1. God promised to preserve his word and the only words of God that are preserved are Genesis 1, not any supposed corrections to that revelation. Thus any alternative to Genesis 1 is false teaching, and that includes the theory of evolution.

So do not be swayed by the guilt trip arguments that those who hold to and preach Genesis 1 as the truth are doing harm to the church. You are not for teaching the truth does not bring harm to God’s institution but enhances it. What harms the church is the acceptance and teaching of false ideas like evolution.
