Does Love Win??

09 Jul

You may have read the myriad of signs depicting that victory or you may have read hundreds of articles with those two words in their title but  does love really win? I guess it depends upon your definition of the word ‘love’.

Let’s make a comparison between the Biblical idea of love and the homosexual community’s ideas of what love entails and see if love really wins.

#1. God v. The Homosexual Community

i. To start, and we will start with God’s example let’s turn to John 3:16 and see how God views love.

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His [e]only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Here we see God sacrificing his son so that his creation does not have to suffer under sin and can gain access to eternal life by making a simple choice to repent of their sins.  I doubt that there is any parent who would sacrifice their only child so that others might be saved so we must imagine the pain God felt seeing his son abused, mocked and killed when he could simply blink and the abusers would be wiped from existence

On the homosexual community’s side, we see no such sacrifice or quiet, patient bearing of pain as they watch their own children sacrificed for others. The homosexual community also does not offer anyone eternal life for believing in their cause or supporting their demands.  They have nothing to offer anyone.

ii. God provides free choice-

24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and [b]wealth. (Mt. 6)

In keeping consistent with his word, ‘love seeks not its own’ (1 Cor. 13) God does not seek his own here but allows people to freely choose whom they will follow.

The homosexual community does no such thing as they abuse those who disagree with them, seek legal action when told no and often force their views upon others through parades, special months, and other events meant to make homosexuality seem normal and natural. They force acceptance upon those who do not want to know what they do in the privacy of their own bedrooms.

iii. God provides instructions–

because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws.” (Gen. 26:5)

There are many passages of scriptures where God has written down his instructions which guide his followers to eternal life.  God provides wise instruction and warns people about the result of sin and the coming destruction. It sets apart right from wrong and tells people how to avoid the latter

The homosexual community provides no such guidance, nor do they warn about right and wrong, good and evil and so on.  They simply demand and complain until they get what they want.

2. Jesus v. The Homosexual Community

i. Jesus left his home in heaven to be a willing sacrifice for all people.

20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for [u]the Child who has been [v]conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for [w]He will save His people from their sins.”

He left his comfortable home to be abused , mocked and tortured all because he loved his father’s creation.

We do not see one homosexual leaving their homes and sacrificing their own lifestyle for anyone. They are all about getting what they want for themselves.

ii. Jesus brought good news to the people and turned the other cheek

10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water (jn. 4)

He brought healing, food, miracles, salvation, and much more so that the people may have better lives and get forgiveness for their sins so that they can live eternally with him.

The homosexual community only pursues the right to marry within their same gender and cares nothing about anyone else or how their lives will be enriched by their actions. If denied services they then seek to ruin those people who denied their requests through legal and other government actions.

iii. Jesus brought truth,  and did not alter scriptures

In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.(Jn. 14:2)

But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God. (Mt. 22:29)

The homosexual community will try to alter scriptures to get it to say what they want it to say in order to feel good about their preferences. They also do not tell the truth about their sexual practices.

iv. Jesus died for others–

You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.” (Mt. 26:2)

The homosexual community is all about ‘gimme gimme gimme’.  First it was pride parades, then a pride month, now it is same-sex marriage and all the benefits they can obtain. Not one action is self-sacrificing or helping others. It is all about them, even adoption is all about them and not the children they adopt

v. Jesus did not protest or fight when denied his rights

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, “I adjure You by the living God, that You tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God.” (Mt. 26:63)

But Jesus made no further answer; so Pilate was amazed. (Mk. 15:5)

The homosexual community will yell loud and hard when they feel they have been slighted, mistreated, or falsely accused. They will also turn on their accusers becoming the bully they complained about throughout their lives.

The comparison could go on and maybe it should but you get the picture even though there is at least one or more point to make here. here are some more verses to help you decide if ‘love wins’ or not in the Supreme Court decision.

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. (Jn. 14:15)

Do we see the homosexual keeping even one of Jesus commandments? I haven’t seen it as they will not turn the other cheek, they will return evil for evil and so on

By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (Jn. 13:35)

I certainly do not see that love for those who oppose the homosexual community in its quest to be granted the right to marry. I see hatred, evil, abuse being hurled at those who say same-sex marriage is wrong. I see vindictiveness and pain brought to those who refuse their requests. They certainly do not have ‘love’ for others just for themselves.

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; [b]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Cor. 13)

This is probably the best definition of the word love, I could be wrong but it puts in a nutshell exactly what love is. Do we see any of these attributes residing in the homosexual community?  I have not.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, (Jn. 13:34)

The question is how did Jesus love us? He taught the truth, he healed, he fed, he guided, he disciplined correctly, he told people to repent of their sins. Yet do we see the homosexual community repenting of their sins? No, we see them hanging on to them and taking pleasure in continual practice of those sins. We do not see them healing others and many other things Jesus did so obviously they do not love others as Jesus loved us.

37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (Mt. 22:37)

This is probably the most important aspect of love that exposes the homosexual community for what it is.  We do not see them love God with all of their hearts because they refuse to give up their sin of homosexuality.  For the homosexual, love is a one way street, their way– where even God has to take them as they are, unrepentant, sinful and he must like it or lump it.

The homosexual community does not do one thing that shows their love for God as they demand that they remain homosexual and continue to practice their love.  They cannot even give up sin to be with him so we can say with a resounding ‘NO, love did not win with the Supreme Court decision.  Sin won a victory, a small battle, and love got trampled into the ground as selfish, spoiled behavior ruled the day.

As we see by this small comparison, there is no love on the side of the homosexual community. All that resides there is sin, selfishness, arrogance, and so on as the homosexual community seeks its own and they do not care what rights or democratic principles they trample in their haste to obtain what they want. They do not care about anyone else, only their demands matter and their refusal to accept ‘no’ as answer shows how spoiled they have become because those in power do not discipline the homosexual community correctly but meekly grants all their demands and fights for them even though the result is unfair, unjust and just plain wrong.

No, love took a beating that day and was clearly not the winner.

Except that’s a book that was written a long time ago and is no longer relevant, where’s the scientific study of this?
