PC Gone Insane

03 Jul

One of the most devastating ideologies to hit the world is political correctness.  The change from the intent of the purpose to the reception of the listeners which determines what someone has said simply gave license to distort the message and attack/ do injustice against an innocent people for no reason other than someone did not like what another person said.

Political Correct thinking i snot biblical teaching and believers need to be wary of adopting that false ideology. It may seem like  PC is implementing spiritual instructions but as we shall see, it is just blind permission to force one’s distorted ideas upon others. The current surge in PC demands reminds me of my junior year at my undergrad school where normal Christians turned vicious when they got to freely use the words ‘i am offended’ to thwart normal activities of their fellow students.

Political Correctness is another primitive form of anarchy as it depends upon who is in power to form its definition and reach. There are no divine instructions guiding the use of PC, it is what ever feels good and whatever we can get away with.

John Schneider is blasting TV Land for its decision to erase from its schedule — due its depiction of the Confederate flag — reruns of The Dukes of Hazzard, the wholesome show that made the actor a teen idol in the 1980s.

The Dukes of Hazzard was and is no more a show seated in racism than Breaking Bad was a show seated in reality,” Schneider told The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.

TV Land confirmed Wednesday that it pulled the show in the aftermath of the June 17 shooting in Charleston, S.C., perpetrated by Dylann Roof, who was a fan of the Confederacy, known in the 19th century for its defense of slavery.

He makes a good point about TV Land over-reacting to the confederate flag issue.

As members of the NASCAR industry, we join NASCAR in the desire to make our events among the most fan-friendly, welcoming environments in all of sports and entertainment.

“To do that, we are asking our fans and partners to join us in a renewed effort to create an all-inclusive, even more welcoming atmosphere for all who attend our events. This will include the request to refrain from displaying the Confederate Flag at our facilities and NASCAR events.

“We are committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere free of offensive symbols. This is an opportunity for NASCAR Nation to demonstrate its sense of mutual respect and acceptance for all who attend our events while collectively sharing the tremendous experience of NASCAR racing.”

The flag does not make anyone feel unwelcome. it is the people who do that on their own and now I feel unwelcome at any NASCAR event , not because I like the flag but because of their immature attitude.

The Miss USA pageant, left without a TV home following blowback against co-owner Donald Trump over his comments on Mexican immigrants, has been rescued by the Reelz channel.

In a statement Thursday, Reelz CEO Stan E. Hubbard said the cable and satellite channel acquired the rights because of a belief that the pageant and the women who compete in it “are an integral part of American tradition.”

“As one of only a few independent networks, we decided to exercise our own voice and committed ourselves to bringing this pageant to American viewers everywhere,” Hubbard said…

The statement also did not include details on how Reelz acquired the rights to broadcast the pageant that is a joint venture between Trump and NBC, as is Miss Universe. NBC cited Trump’s comments on immigrants in announcing it is cutting business ties with him.

Trump’s presidential campaign announcement contained his assertion that some Mexican immigrants to the United States bring drugs and crime, and some are rapists.

In trying to appear on the side of justice or anti-racist, NBC ends up looking foolish for its over-reaction to personal comments. People are not going to say everything we like and if we drop the hammer on them every time they do, no one would be employed and no one would be able to run the government and so on.  A little common sense sprinkled with biblical wisdom and understanding would go a lot further than making a mountain out of a mole hill.

he Washington Redskins are considering a move from their current home of FedEx Field in Maryland. But the Obama administration will not make it an easy process to return to the District of Columbia.

FedEx Field is only 18 years old. Even so, Snyder is looking to get out of the stadium before the team’s lease expires in 2026. D.C. owns RFK Stadium, the Redskins’ former home and the site of one proposed new stadium. However, the federal government owns the land on which RFK stands, and a report in the Washington Post indicates the name is a significant impediment in allowing the team to return to the District.

According to the Post, Interior Secretary Sally Jewell informed Washington’s mayor, Muriel E. Bowser, that the federal government likely would not permit the construction of a new stadium with the team’s current name in place. The “Redskins” name has drawn significant heat from protest groups for its racial connotations; team officials and supporters contend that the team’s name is indicative of bravery, heritage and tradition.

This has to be one of the dumbest campaigns yet. It is simply a name of a team and it implies no racism or racial intent. If we are going to get our knickers into a knot every time some one names a person or team or even a building something a few people do not like then we might as well stop going outside.  The freedom we demand for ourselves we must grant to others and by that granting we are going to run into objectionable material.

By attacking these people or teams, no one is doing anything to stop ‘racism’ or whatever politically correct label they place on these issues. They are only attacking people’s rights and making the place more of a police state than the land of the free. If you want to stop racism, do what Jesus said– turn the other cheek, do unto others…, an don it goes

Remember racism is a multi-way street so in their efforts to stamp out racism or some other offending trend, the people doing the stamping are enacting racism and offensive trends. Being PC does not solve the issue it just lets it continue under a different form. Only by following Jesus and his ways do you put a stop to racism and offending trends because you get to the source of the issue and change it.

That source? The sin nature of man and their penchant for disobeying God and his word.
